It's always fun when Grandpa comes... (and Grandma, and Cinda, and Amelia)

>> Wednesday, September 12, 2007

We had the best time visiting with Grandpa, Grandma, Cinda and Amelia over Labor Day weekend. The road warriors arrived on Friday afternoon and left Monday morning. Kurt was in Utah (courtesy of a loving and indulgent wife) on Saturday and Sunday to attend his annual "Fantasy Football Draft Extravaganza". Having company for the weekend while he was gone was a big bonus for me...and the kids.

We did some fun things while they were here.

We went to Gunther Toody's (a great 50's style diner) for dinner on Friday. Then to the Zoo on Saturday, where Grandpa bought a gross of giraffe crackers for us! On Sunday, Grandpa, Grandma and Cinda wrangled the big kids during sacrament meeting while I fought with Alex (turns out he had an ear infection) and then wrangled Alex for the rest of the meetings while I was in Primary. Church would have been a disaster without them! We had a nice dinner together on Sunday night after Kurt got home and breakfast together on Monday before they headed home.

It was a great weekend and we loved having visitors!
Hint...hint...reserve your air mattress at the Farnsworth Hotel today!

Thanks for coming guys! We love you.

Here are some pictures of our fun...
