Natalie: "But I know it! Mom taught me!"

Alex: "This is taking forever!"

Me: "I know. The bank is busy today."

Alex, pointing at the teller: "What is that girl's name?"

Me: "Ummmm, I don't know."

Alex: "I do! It's LAZY BONES!"

Natalie: "Mom, why do those teenagers always hang around that picnic table?"

Me: "I don't know, maybe they're homeless." (I was kidding)

Natalie: Laughing, "Yeah! Maybe they are hobos!"

Kurt: "No, they're not hobos, they're bums."

Todd: "Dad, what's a bum?"

Kurt: "Someone who doesn't have a job and just sits around all day."

A moment of silence

Todd: With the wheels in his head turning, "Hey, Mom! You don't have a job...You're a BUTT!"

Alex is 10 months old today! I can't believe how fast time flies. He is growing like a weed and learning more and more amazing baby tricks every day. He's got a mouthful of (6) teeth which make for a great smile! Also, two weeks ago, out of nowhere, he decided he could climb the stairs. I went upstairs to answer the door, leaving the boys downstairs. I was visiting at the door when Todd came up the stairs and announced "Mom, Alex is almost to the top!" Well, that was news to me! He hadn't ever really attempted to climb the stairs before, so this was a major accomplishment for him. It's also a big pain...since he can't figure out how to slide down backwards yet!Alex is our sweet blue-eyed charmer. He loves people, music, and making messes! When we sing "If you're happy and you know it...clap your hands" he claps his hands. His standard greeting is a one arm salute and a long "Hhhiiiiiii". We can't get enough of his dimples and his contagious belly laugh.

Happy 10 months, baby boy! We love you!
